Ian is AAM Advisory’s Head of Financial Planning and Wealth Solutions, overseeing AAM’s wealth planning for Singaporean and expatriate High Net Worth Individuals.
Ian has extensive experience working in financial services in both corporate and personal financial planning in the UK, Singapore and South-East Asia. Prior to joining AAM Advisory, Ian held the position of Regional Sales Manager at Friends Provident International with a specific focus on Pensions, Investments, Tax and Trusts. He worked for Zurich, Berkeley Berry Birch, Prudential UK Intermediaries and Scottish Amicable before joining Friends Provident International.
Ian is highly qualified. In addition to holding Singapore Financial Planning qualifications Ian holds the Chartered Insurance Institute Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and is a Fellow of the UK Personal Finance Society. Ian is a Chartered Financial Planner, one of around 5,000 worldwide. Chartered Financial Planner status is regarded as the highest level of accreditation in the UK financial services sector.
In addition to speaking at seminars, Ian specialises in working with clients who have to consider multi-national tax issues, including income and gains taxes, estate taxes and structuring of pensions to support them in developing effective, compliant and non-contentious solutions to reduce the impact of tax on their investments.

David is a qualified adviser holding both UK and Singapore Financial Planning qualifications (Monetary Authority of Singapore License DBA100084099). He has completed the UK Investment Management Certificate and is a CFA Candidate. As the Head of Investment Research at AAM Advisory, a regulated professional financial planning company, he overseas that clients are invested in robust and diversified portfolios appropriate for their circumstances, financial goals and risk appetite.
His experience in finance began with Scottish Provident, a leading insurance provider that eventually became part of the Abbey National empire, where he worked on unit-linked administration and client servicing. Following this, David then worked for many years with the Co-operative Insurance Society in Manchester UK, focusing on pension analysis and compliance with the Pension Investment Authority that later became the Financial Services Authority.
Since 2003 David has made Southeast Asia his home, and has since focused on providing high-quality financial planning and building up long-term client relationships.

With effect from October 2017, Alexander commenced employment as an Executive Director of the New Ubin Seafood Group.
Prior to this, Alexander was an Associate Director with TSMP Law Corporation until September 2017, during which time he spearheaded the Firm’s Restructuring and Insolvency practice under the Firm’s joint managing partner, Mr Thio Shen Yi, S.C.
Apart from restructuring and insolvency, Alexander also specialised in employment and labour law under the guidance of Mr Ian Lim, an Executive Director of the Firm.
Prior to joining TSMP, Alexander began his training and career with the Business, Finance and Insolvency Practice Group (now known as the R&I Practice Group) at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP, and was privileged to work with Mr Lee Eng Beng S.C., Ms Rebecca Chew, Mr Sim Kwan Kiat and Mr Mark Cheng.
Alexander is a member of INSOL International, an Associate of the Insolvency Practitioner’s Association of Singapore (IPAS) and a member of the Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law.
Despite presently not being in active practice, Alexander maintains a keen interest in the law, as well as the ongoing development of Singapore’s jurisprudence. In this respect, Alexander maintains a personal website at http://www.sglaw85.com where he frequently posts legal updates and commentaries, whether on the latest cases or developments in the law.
